Standard Bank ZA

The Standard Bank of South Africa is a major bank within South Africa.  It was established in 1862 and is part of the global Pan-African banking Standard Bank group. It trades as Stanbic Bank as well as Standard Bank and has a significant presence on the African continent (17 countries) and other operations abroad. It is a full-service bank which is listed on the JSE Limited (Johannesburg Stock Exchange).

According to its 2010 Annual Report within South Africa it had 705 bank branches and self service channels such as its 8100  ATMs, its internet banking website, telephone banking services and its mobile platform.

For its retail customers it offers various savings and investment products such as savings accounts and deposit accounts. Its deposit investments include call deposit accounts, notice deposit accounts and fixed deposit accounts providing various maturity options.
