Nedbank Limited or abbreviated Nedbank is a major bank in South Africa and is a subsidiary of the bank holding company Nedbank Group Limited, a JSE listed South African provider of banking, insurance, asset management and wealth management services. Its history dates back to the 1800s through various subsequent mergers and acquisitions which led to the present day company structure.
Nedbank provides banking products and services such as retail banking, private banking, business banking and corporation banking. It delivers these services through its distribution channels such as internet banking, telephone banking and mobile banking as well traditional physical ATMs and branch locations nationwide.
As at 2011 it had 59 branch locations across South Africa within regions such as Tshwane & North , Gauteng , Eastern Cape, Western Cape, Freestate & Vaal and Kwazulu Natal.
Its investment and savings products for its retail customers include savings accounts, fixed deposit accounts, savings bonds, money market investment accounts and notice deposit accounts.
